Scrap metal
One of the main activities of our company is the management of scrap metal. We engage in the purchase of iron waste (including stainless steel material), copper, brass, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Subsequently we are able to provide sorting, treatment and other related services and activities connected to the processing of scrap metal. ARCIMPEX purchases scrap metal from large manufacturing companies as well as from small suppliers and citizens. Our company provides to all contractors all the services from the delivery of their own containers, loading of scrap, to its removal and weighing.
The ARCIMPEX company is a supplier of iron scrap to all major metallurgical plants in our region - Liberty Ostrava, Třinecké Železárny. In addition, our company also delivers scrap to foundries throughout the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the company delivers significant amount of material to smelters in Poland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Slovakia and other European countries. Every year, ARCIMPEX supplies up to 150,000 tons of secondary raw materials to manufacturing and trading companies.

Offer of scrap metal
Since our company purchase and process scrap metal of all kinds we also provide all related services. We use our own freight transport container to deliver material. ARCIMPEX possess its own railway siding and which can be also used in order to transport, handover and dispatch metal scrap. We deliver scrap metal to customers not only in the Czech Republic, but also throughout Europe.
Supplies of scrap metal
Our company process scrap metal mainly by cutting and pressing on two hydraulic shears. ARCIMPEX has at its own disposal all kind of technical equipment, such as, grab loaders, load electromagnets, trucks, container systems, autogenous and plasma burning CNC machines and sets, cable peelers.
The company ARCIMPEX uses its own shipping container transport to deliver the material. The company also possess its own railway siding, which is use to receive and dispatch material.
The chemical composition of metallic materials is verified with Delta brand spectrometers, which allow us to process a report on the results of the measurements. We automatically provide and run radiation measurements for iron scrap.
The company ARCIMPEX is also able to provide dismantling and disposal of technological units, production and transport equipment and other facilities associated with the occurrence of metal waste, including demolition work.
Our company is a holder of a trade license for waste management and trading, possess the operating rules of all facilities approved by the regional authorities. The company also possess all necessary required permits and certificates, which are needed to provide complex services in the field of purchase, sorting and treatment of scrap metal.
For all our services, and not only in the field of activities concerning waste management, we consistently ensure compliance with all legal and other requirements in the field of environmental protection, pollution prevention, safety and hygiene. Thanks to this complex approach we received the certificate for the environmental management system according to ČSN EN ISO 14001.
Our company is also able to supply our business partners with scrap iron not only as waste, but also as a raw material. We are holders of a quality management system certificate according to Article 6 of Council Regulation (EU) No. 333/2011. At the same time, we possess the operating rules approved by the regional authority, which stipulate the criteria when iron and steel scrap ceases to be waste and becomes a raw material for metal production.
We purchase metal waste from wholesalers and citizens at our facilities in Sviadnov and Ostrava. To our contractual partners we provide delivery, loading, removal of scrap containers and related services.
The company ARCIMPEX is also able to carry out the liquidation of technological units and equipment. If necessary our employees can visit you and arrange the possibilities of cooperation.
For the transport of freight we use our own container transport. Our fleet includes 8 modern MAN and Volvo trucks, which can serve to all types of containers (Abroll, Bikram, Tatra). Separate loading of the products is of course feasible. The vehicles are equipped with a hydraulic arm, which is able to load material up to a weight of 3.5 tons per one piece. If required, the customer can rent the transport separately for its own needs. Most of our company's vehicles meet the EURO6 emission standard.
The ARCIMPEX area possess its own railway siding, the wagons are weighed on certified GO Steel Frýdek-Místek scales in Lískovec near Frýdek.
Our company owns the Schenck Process DFT-E road scale, on which is possible to weigh cars and car sets up to 18 meters in length and up to 60 tons. On this weight we also provide commercial weighing. For weighing smaller amounts of material (especially non-ferrous metals, alloy steel) we use digital scales with a range up to 1000 and 100 kg and an accuracy of 0.2 kg.
For the adjustment of scrap metal we use 2 Taurus scissor blades. Additionally, we separate metal waste by using autogenous burners.
The area of the metal waste treatment area is 27,000 m2, the handling and storage areas are paved and their part is impermeable and drained through an oil separator.
For the manipulation of the material at the scrap yard we use 6 modern Sennebogen hydraulic loaders, equipped with grabs or load electromagnets if required.
We use Delta X-ray spectrometers to accurately determine the chemical composition of scrap, especially alloyed and stainless steel materials.
A RadEye dosimeter from Thermo Fisher Scientific is used to check that the received waste does not contain radioactive material.
